Carlos D. Torres
Biography

Born in Puerto Rico and raised in Williamsburg Brooklyn, New York.

Since I can remember as a kid, I loved music. At around 15 yrs old I got my first bass guitar. I grew up listening to Led Zeppelin, Bad Company, etc. As I got older, I got into heavier stuff like Iron Maiden, Scorpions, and so on. I basically liked any band with a good bass player. Like anyone who starts out, you learn cover songs. This helps you learn techniques and helps you become an all around player.

I started out playing a four-string bass, then eventually went to a five-string bass. How I lived without the low B on the five-string in the past is beyond me. I thought that would be my choice of basses forever. I then stepped up to the six-string. At first I got lost on the fret board (so many strings). Once I got the hang of it, there was no turning back. The possibilities were endless. I now enjoy listening to the likes of Dream Theatre, Stanley Clark, and any player who just rips up the fret board. This is who I am today.

I play with two of the best guys I’ve ever played with. The talent and skills we have together are something that separates us from the others. As with playing the six-string, the possibilities are endless with this band. There’s no telling where we’re going.
